I dedicate this book to all the Special Agents that I have had the honor to serve with, many of whom have since passed. I also dedicate it to the new breed of Special Agent now working for the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) and to the job they are doing in keeping fellow diplomats safe overseas, despite the increasing terrorist threat and for the work they do here in the United States, which many times goes completely unnoticed by the average citizen. I’m sure the average person has never heard of our organization, and if they have, they have no idea what we do or who we are.
